SC DMV ROAD TEST
Drive Alert offers the SCDMV Road Test, including for individuals with an Ignition Interlock Device (IID). Both students and qualified walk-in clients can take their test with one of Drive Alert's certified safety officers. We have several route locations available; please call for the one nearest you. This test is typically completed in less than an hour, allowing you to avoid long waits at the DMV.
During the test, you will need to demonstrate your ability to perform various driving maneuvers, such as turning on your headlights and windshield wipers, using turn signals (including four-way flashers), testing brake lights, making lane changes, and executing right and left turns. You will also need to identify road signs, parallel park, back up 100 feet, park on a hill, perform a three-point turnabout, and back up in a straight line.

*Failing to attend a scheduled paid DMV Road Test without notifying the examiner or Drive Alert will result in a $20 rescheduling fee, with no exceptions. Please note that the Road Test cannot be administered during inclement weather.

The safety of every student is our top priority. To ensure this, each student must personally check in by their parent or legal guardian. During pickup, students will only be released to the parent or legal guardian. Students will not be released to anyone else - no exceptions.
