SC DMV ROAD TEST

Drive Alert offers the SCDMV Road Test, and individuals with a Ignition Interlock Device (IID). Any student or qualified walk-in clients can take their test with one of Drive Alert's certified safety officers.

We offer several route locations, so call for one nearest you.

This test is generally completed in less than an hour, so no more long waits at the DMV. 

During the test, you will to be able to successfully execute the following:

• Turn on your headlights and windshield wipers
• Turn on your turn signals (including four-way flashers)
• Test your brake lights
• Make lane changes
• Make right and left turns
• Identify road signs
• Parallel park
• 100 feet backing
• Park on a hill
• Perform a three point turnabout
• Straight line backing

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we've received numerous requests for road tests. Please be aware that there may be slightly longer wait times for road test appointment requests selected. For this reason, appointment dates/times are NOT confirmed until it’s approved by an instructor or Drive Alert administrator.  Payment must be made in full before appointment can be confirmed.  Once you book an appointment, a photo of your permit must be uploaded so eligibility requirements can be confirmed.

***Failure to keep a PAID scheduled DMV Road Test and not notifying the examiner nor Drive Alert, would result in a $20 rescheduling fee*** NO EXCEPTIONS.
